Anyways after that laugh, she looked up Brake Masters, who informed her that her brakes where maybe just over half used and they could set an appointment for a few months and even offer lifetime warranty for $30! I shook the man's hand and said thank you for being honest. I'll give you a good review.
So here it is, thanks Ali & John! I'll also bring you my vehicle and suggest you to anyone I know.
Took my car in for a 4-wheel alignment. Later, I got a call from them stating the cause of the car veering right when driving. Apparently, it was due to a worn upper control arm. As my car is higher mileage, I thought it was a reasonable finding and didn't want to deal with it later (mind you, aside from veering right, the ride was completely fine). The tech in the phone said in order to fix the alignment, it should be replaced; otherwise, it will not drive straight due to this play in the control arms. Upper control arm and alignment ended costing just under $1,000. I gave the go-ahead on the upper control arms. I also wanted them to take a look at my brakes for a clunking noise on braking. Per technician, this was caused by grease being overheated and ruining the rotors and brake pads. He said I should take it back to Autozone (where the brake pads came from) for the warranty (which I did), but he would clean the brakes while they're at it. This job took only a few hours.
When I came to pick up the car, right away, the technician told me the alignment came out "perfect!" Of course, I was pleased to hear this.
On my way home, the alignment was even worse. This time, I could not drive straight unless the steering was turned slightly right. If I straightened the steering wheel, it would veer to the left. Obviously, I took it back right away to have it realigned. They did this no problem.
I am upset because I feel I was up-charged heavily for a part that obviously did not fix the issue because it was replaced and the alignment was still bad.
After getting new brake pads, I found the brakes were not even cleaned (as promised by the technician).
I wanted to trust these guys due to its close proximity to my location. I run a small car rental business, and sometimes a quick turnaround on fixes would be great however, it is not great when you pay for their expertise and convenience only to be ripped off.
