What happened to this place? It seems it went down in quality of service since opening. I’m a regular at this location and bring all my cars in for service here, but no more. Daughter brought her Camry in yesterday for a simple oil change and tire rotation. After 10 minutes of leaving, her VSC and check engine light appeared on the dash. She took the car to a local mechanic shop in Phoenix today. Air filter housing/box not properly closed all the way, hose connection to box not reconnected at all, and also found short on a quart of oil in engine. Once air filter box properly closed and hose reconnected, VSC and check engine lights gone. Unfortunately, we’ll not be visiting this store again for future service of our four cars. It’s a shame because it’s only 1/2 mile from our house.

I went into Brake Masters my usual go to place, and I received what I would describe as a lack luster greeting by a new person Carlos. I was told Ryan was no longer at the store, I asked for David and was told he was not there unsure if he was still there. I met the new Manager Rocky who I would say is your basic fast-talking slick upselling used car salesman type. Carlos has the personality of a wet rug; David always greeted right away with a very positive energy and always made me feel at ease and explained every repair in detail. I never felt like I was being up sold, I felt very uneasy with Rocky and Carlos. I have spent several thousand dollars at that store with Ryan and David over the last year. At this point I am searching for another go to place though I might stop by one more time to see if David is still there.

Took my vehicle at the Gilbert and Riggs location and what a great experience overall! Met with Rocky I believe he was the service Manager. Very pleased with him very knowledgeable. He never once pushed to sell me anything. He told me what my vehicle needed and a great price. I had taken my vehicle to another place where they quoted over a thousand dollars and I wanted to get a second opinion and glad I did. Rocky explained what his mechanics found versus the quote I came in with, and he said that the other parts weren’t necessary It’s nice to know that they’re still honest Mechanic Shop’s out there. I will highly recommend them and we’ll always deal with Rocky, And his employees! Thank you you guys thank you break Masters!
