Engine coolant is an important yet often overlooked liquid that keeps your vehicle from overheating and causing a great deal of damage. It is a part of a standard Santa Fe car tune up but most people pay much less attention to it than their Santa Fe oil change. To prevent that from happening, it is important that you check your coolant levels regularly and immediately address any problems.
Remember that before doing any work around your engine, you need to turn off your vehicle and wait for the engine to cool.
Once you have opened the hood and located coolant overflow tank, locate the “full” and “low” marks on the tank. The blue liquid in the tank is the coolant should be as close to the full line as possible.
If the tank is well below the full line, refill it with new coolant to full and also take note of how low it is. If you are finding that you are constantly having to replace your coolant, or if there is nearly no coolant in the tank, you may have a leak.
If this happens, it’s important that you head to a mechanic to get the problem addresses right away.

Why you need to flush your brakes regularly.
Your car’s owner’s manual may not list that you should have your brakes flushed. This is usually because they recommend when to have your Phoenix brakes check and assume the mechanic will notify you when it is time. This does not mean that it is not actually a very important service.
Brake fluid absorbs water and this is very important because it creates condensation in the brake system and helps reduce corrosion. Eventually though, it will have absorbed all of the fluid it possibly can and will be completely saturated.
When your brake fluid becomes saturated, unabsorbed fluids can start to collect and corrode important parts of your brake system. Also, the water will make seals deteriorate and start to contaminate fluids in the car and the boiling point of the fluid can drop beyond the levels that are recommended. Unfortunately, all of these things can drastically affect the performance of your brakes.
How can you determine when you need to have your brake fluid flushed? As mentioned before, your mechanic should notify you when inspecting your brakes if it is time to flush the fluid. However, you can also expect that around every two years or 30,000 miles, you may want to have your brake fluid flushed.
If you are not familiar with flushing your brake system, then you do not want to do this yourself. Stop by a Brake Masters location and find out if it is time to flush your brake fluids with a Tucson brake check.

Fluid flushes are an essential part of properly maintaining your vehicle.
Between your Phoenix transmission flush, your brake fluid flush, and your power steering flush, it seems like vehicles are constantly in need of a fluid flush of some sort. For many people who are told they need a fluid flush, it seems as though you car is constantly thirsty for fluid or maybe that your mechanic is just making things up!
Of course, fluid flushes are real and a very important part of properly maintaining your car. The fluids used in your vehicle are vital for keeping your car on the road and fully functioning for years to come
Like an oil change which replaces old oil that has collected soot and metallic particles that can cause damage to the engine, fluid flushes involve removing the old and dirty fluids and replacing them with fresh fluid.
The fluids in your vehicle all have a different lifespan so you will need to consult your owner’s manual or a certified mechanic for more details on when you will need to change yours.
If you need a Tucson transmission flush or any other fluid flush, don’t hold off, take care of it right away or risk damage to your vehicle.

Learn how to get the best gas mileage no matter what kind of vehicle you have.

1. Carry Less Weight – The more you carry, the more you are weighing down your vehicle. The added weight takes extra gas to move your car while driving. Take some time and clean out your vehicle, removing unnecessary materials that are not needed.
2. Maintain the Correct Tire Pressure – Check your tire pressure often and keep it at the recommended PSI. You can find the PSI on the tire or on the inside of your door, where the SIN number is located. You can pick up a tire gauge at any local automotive parts store for a low price.
3. Keep Your Car in Good Condition – When the time comes for maintenance work to be performed on your vehicle, do not wait. Take your vehicle in and get a quality auto tune up. Maintenance as simple as changing an air filter or performing an engine flush can greatly increase your gas mileage. If your vehicle is in good condition, it should maximize its gas mileage.
4. Watch Your Speed – You do not need to push the pedal to the metal. The more you push on the gas, the more gas you use. It is additionally not a good practice on your vehicle as well. Increasing your speed gradually is the best way to increase your gas mileage.
5. Don’t Idle – This one may be a bit obvious but if you drive less, you lose less gas. Try running all your errands at one time to avoid unnecessary ware on your vehicle and wasting gas.
